Municipal Law

We currently serve or have served as the attorneys for Town and Village Boards, Housing Authorities, Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeal. We draft local laws, prepare findings on numerous land use matters, guide clients through the SEQRA process and negotiate complex contracts. We have defended and prosecuted numerous lawsuits and appeals on behalf of municipalities including such varied issues as Civil Rights, Zoning, Subdivisions and Site Plans, SEQRA, RLUIPA, Construction Claims and Contracts.

Our attorneys have over three decades of experience representing municipal clients. We have been involved in some of the leading cases reported in New York regarding variances, telecommunications, RLUIPA, SEQRA, subdivisions, rezoning and civil rights claims. We have been recognized for our knowledge in these areas and have been asked to speak and write on municipal topics by such varied organizations as Pace Law School, New York State Department of State, International Association of Municipal Lawyers, American Bar Association, Westchester Municipal Planning Federation, New York State Bar Association, Westchester County Bar Association and the Rockland Municipal Planning Federation.
